Yes, they do! Some of the most common answers we get about when seniors are applying for colleges is, “Yes, they look” or “They seem to.
In college applications, it’s a common refrain that seniors look for things like intelligence, looks, and appearance. This is a common theme that students are often asked to cover. However, the truth is that even though seniors tend to be aware of these things, some of the students that they’re applying to aren’t in fact that intelligent. They just happen to be attractive.
It should be noted that some of the questions seniors are asked are very broad and open ended. For example, you might be asked if your senior year was one of the best, or if you have the biggest, or the most important, or whatever. While these questions are common, in some ways they make finding out more about you harder. If you had no idea what the first part of this question meant, then you wouldn’t know what to answer.
The way this gets into the mind of college dating is by asking people to compare their senior year to their senior year at their old college. This is the type of question that makes some people feel like they are being asked to be a part of some sort of social experiment. One college asked their freshman class to guess which two people were better at math and science, and then did the same to their sophomore class.
A very popular school of thought says that people don’t really know how much they know about their colleges until they get there, so college dates may be much more like an experiment than a real date. I agree that it makes sense that people would be comparing their classes and their senior year to their old college, but I don’t think it’s a great idea.
On the other hand, the senior year is the last time you can really learn about yourself, so people that did poorly in college and went on to fail in the real world have a whole other level of self-knowledge. Instead of the old “I’m good at math but I have no idea how to design a website” feeling, people become more confident and confident enough to be able to make real improvements.
My college experience was not my favorite, but at least I got my feet wet. I graduated from a small liberal arts college with a 2.6 GPA, and went to work full-time at a small publishing company. I was in the process of trying to do all the things I should have been doing all along, and also trying to become the person I wanted to be.
I remember when I graduated, I was very nervous. I thought I was going to have to take a couple of tests, go to a couple of classes, and then come back to the house and figure out how to be a person. Not to mention I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career, and most importantly, what I wanted to be when I grew up.
The idea behind the idea of university is that it’s easy to get into a major and not have to worry about the consequences. You know that the only thing that’s going to make you a very good student is to start with a strong foundation. That is the only thing that really matters. If you start with the foundation, you are going to lose a lot of people, so this kind of thinking isn’t going to help you.
That’s not to say that you should stop learning and pursuing your dreams, but you may be able to apply the idea of college to your life a little differently than most. College is where you get to make a lot of connections with people who could help you in the future. They might not know you at the moment, but it doesn’t mean they wont help you out. This could be a very good career move for you.
