In this article, we’ll use three levels of self-awareness with the idea that each level corresponds to an area of life. The first level is the obvious and the second is the everyday, and the third level is the difficult and the most difficult.
The first level is the obvious. The easy thing to do is to just keep doing what you were doing. The easy thing to do is to be a good person or good friend. The easy thing to do is to be a good wife or husband. The easy thing to do is to always be doing something important, even if it’s just checking email.
The second level is the everyday. That’s just what you’ve been doing for years. At the beginning of each level you are given a few minutes to decide how you want to proceed. Some levels are too easy and some are too hard. Some levels are too easy and some are too difficult. Some levels are easy and some are hard. Some levels are easy and some are hard. The tricky thing is that the easy thing to do in the second level is the hard thing to do.
Sometimes people are willing to make a choice, but it’s not always easy to make a choice. For instance, i’ve always hated the second level, but i’ve never really had a chance to make a choice based on what happened to my sister.

Time loops are what you might call “automatic regret” because your brain is trying to think of things to do that you can’t. You can’t think of something to do because you’re in a time loop.
