The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when we’re on autopilot for so long that we forget we’re on autopilot. Because when we’re not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us.

This is not some silly meta-cognition. This is the meta-cognition that I am talking about. You are aware that you used to be an amnesiac who went by the name of Colt Vahn, but did you really know what it was like to be a part of the regular world? Of course you didn’t. You just did it because you felt weird about being an amnesiac.
Because the concept of metacharacter is at the center of self-awareness, the notion of metacharacter is what makes self-awareness possible. In the case of self-awareness, metacharacter is the concept of the self. The self is not a person, but rather a concept. This is why metacharacter is so important to self-awareness. Without metacharacter, we cannot control our own actions, thoughts, or feelings.
So a person without metacharacter can’t control his actions, thoughts, or feelings. The concept of metacharacter is a very useful tool for making all this sense. I call it the meta-mind. It’s a bit like the concept of metacharacter, which in fact is a concept. It’s the idea behind metacharacter, which is the concept of the self.
You might say, “What does that mean?” But its actually not that complicated. Metacharacter is merely the concept of the concept of the self. The basic idea is that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are all controlled by the meta-mind. A person who has metacharacter can control his actions, thoughts, and feelings, but he can’t control the meta-mind.

Metahas the word metacognition, where the mind has the ability to think about the world and its objects, but only in the way that the mind thinks about them. The reason that we are so dependent on our own thoughts to get us where we want to go is because we are an autopilot. We can think about our future, our past, and our present, but we cannot control our thoughts.
So, who is this metacognition we have in us? The answer is, we have metacognition in us. However, we have no idea what it is. We have metacognition in us, but we don’t know what we are metacognizing about.
